Lawnscaping Challenge: Clean and Simple sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Hello and welcome to another Lawnscaping challenge! Today’s challenge is right up my ally. Clean and simple…. :) I love clean and simple projects…… We are sponsored by the fabulous Lawn Fawn and have TWO incredible guest designers joining us so be sure to head to the Lawnscaping page and check out ALL of the projects…..

I colored all the images with the exception of the two dark pink birds with Copics. The dark pink birds were colored with these new glitter pens I picked up. Love them and they come in all kinds of colors! The adorable patterned paper came in one of the Simon Says Stamp card kits….

I popped most up of the images up with some foam dimension…. :) I had a blast making this card and coloring all of these adorable images!!! I love the matching dies. Made things a heck of a lot easier for me, that’s for sure.

I hope you will play along with us! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge: BLING IT sponsored by Simon Says Stamp

Hello HELLO HELLO! I am so happy to be back with my Lawnscaping gals. It’s been about 3 months or so I think……. :) I dusted off my crafty supplies and tried to find some mojo!! We are sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp! The winner of this challenge will receive a $25 gift card to their online store:)

Here is what I created inspired by the challenge:

DSC_0014wtmk

I masked the circle and applied the distress ink pad directly to the card stock. I sprayed the stars stamp with Perfect Pearls and stamped onto the distress ink panel. I colored the ice cream images with copics and popped them up with some dimension. I wanted to add some more bling so I dug out some glossy accents, rhinestones and liquid pearls…

I hope that you will play along with us!!!! This is such a fun challenge and I can’t wait to visit your blogs and be inspired!!!

Simon Says Stamp: ANYTHING GOES

Howdy! And a happy Wednesday to you all. Today’s challenge is ANYTHING GOES, so no excuses not to play along! The Design Team is using Impression Obsession products and I have to say, I love them. I have 3 of their background stamps and managed to use all of them on my card today! They stamp to perfection and are big enough to cover your entire piece of card stock….. That’s always a plus for me…. I combined those stamps with my two other favorites, Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp exclusives……. YUM!

DSC_0005wtmk

I inked up the brick background with Distress Paint, my first time using it. Pretty cool stuff… Need to play with them more to figure out other techniques to use with them! The speech bubble and text is from Simon Says Stamp… I love their stamps and dies. They are fantastic. I added a little liquid applique to the lion… Love the texture. I used two other Impression Obsession stamps for the hilltop and background panel….

This is the 2nd card I have made since my “maternity” leave…. About 3 months of no crafting took a toll on my creativity! I hope you all like this card. :)

Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Cityscapes and/or Travel

Hello! And welcome to another Simon Says Stamp challenge!!! Today’s challenge is all about Cityscapes or traveling…. I have the perfect cityscape stamp for this challenge!!!

DSC_0060wtmkI stamped the cityscape with this ink (my favorite white ink) and colored some of the windows with a yellow gel pen (it’s shiny in real life). The awesome sentiment is from this Simon Says Stamp set. And I finished off the card with some coordinating hemp by Lawn Fawn. A fairly simple card.. And super easy to mass produce. You could just leave it sentiment free and then customize it to whatever when the time comes…. Change out the card base and make a set for a friend. Whatever…. :)

Lawnscaping Challenge: TEXTURE sponsored by Simon Says Stamp

DSC_0001wtmk copy 2

Welcome to today’s Lawnscaping challenge!!!!!!!! Do you like texture? I do! Texture can be anything really. Embossing, Glitter, textured paper, gesso, etc…. I opted to incorporate some dry embossing and watercoloring onto textured watercolor into my project. I had so much fun making this card. For starters, it uses some new Lawn Fawn goodies (stamps, paper)…. And another,  I incorporated a technique I learned from the Clean and Simple 2 online card class! See that rainbow strip? Jennifer showed us how to make that using a custom made ink pad. I opted to take the easy route, and use my inktense watercolor pencils to create a similar look.

Lawnscaping Challenge: Stamp a scene sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Happy Monday!!! Today we’ve got a fun Lawnscaping Challenge in store for you! Stamping a scene! I love to create scenes with stamps. It is so fun and freeing and you can be as simple or as complex as you want!!!!!!! Here is what I made using lots and lots of different Lawn Fawn sets!

DSC_0009wtmk

I dabbled with the masking technique again! I took the Chevron border and created what I hope you will see as a tree! I stamped it in two different shades of greens by Hero Arts…. I hand drew in the branches and added some heart die cuts I had lying on my desk…. (save all your scraps peeps, you never know)…. The gnome and log? Yup, I colored those like 8 months ago and I keep all my extras in a pottery mug on my desk.. So this card came together very quickly.

Lawnscaping Challenge: Valentine’s Day Inspiration Photo sponsored by Simon Says Stamp

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!!!!! This week’s Lawnscaping challenge is sure to get you in the Valentines Day mood! Whether you celebrate it or not, who cares! Time for candy! Chocolate! Whatever floats your boat. When I was younger, I would celebrate it by dressing all in black! But you bet your bootie I ate chocolate! :) Here’s what I created inspired by the photo!!!

DSC_0011wtmk

I love that hexagon mask from Studio Calico. It is gorgeous! So I thought I’d try my hand at masking, a technique I don’t do often! I die cut the circle from this Spellbinders Nestabilities set and used the negative space to create the mask. I then dabbed some gorgeous Bubblegum Pink Hero Arts shadow ink over the top of the mask and look at the outcome! My goodness. So pretty!

DSC_0015wtmk

Everything else is pretty self explanatory. I colored the images and banner strip with copics. A little bit of glossy accents on the cherries and the little hand drawn heart and all done!

I hope you will stop over at the Lawnscaping blog and check out what the rest of the design team created for this challenge! And also please welcome our guest designer for the month, Lalo!!!

A big thank you to the wonderful Simon Says Stamp for sponsoring our challenge this week! The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to the online store!!!

Lawnscaping Challenge: Winter Wonderland sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Hey everyone!! Welcome to another Lawnscaping Challenge!!! Today’s challenge is fun and for MOST of you, appropriate! WINTER WONDERLAND! I, however, live in Florida where it has been 80 degrees all week, sigh. I like the cold. I’m not talking snow tires, ice scrapping type cold, but cold!!! I hope it cools off soon. It IS January after all, and my maternity wardrobe is mainly comprised on winter clothes so come on Mother Nature, work with me here, he he he!!! Here’s a look at what I created:

DSC_0009wtmk

For some reason, I just KNEW I wanted to use the gnome for this winter card so I thought, hey, let’s let him ride his little polar bear friend!!!! I used this gorgeous paint dabber for the background so it sparkles IRL… The images were all watercolored with Inktense pencils (LOVE THEM). I purposely kept some pencil strokes on the tree for some added texture and I kina like it, I’ll admit it! Here’s another close up!

DSC_0017wtmk

Of course, I had to add some stickles in there….. I love how it looks like snow on the snowbanks and the tree….

We are sponsored by the fabulous Lawn Fawn!!!!! The winner will receive a stamp set of their choice!!! :) SO FUN! I do hope you will play along with us. You’ve got 10 days to get crafty!!! No excuses!

Lawnscaping Challenge: Let’s PARTY sponsored by Simon Says Stamp

Hello everyone!!!! Happy Monday to you all. Today should be the first “normal” week following the holidays for both of us! My Christmas decorations are down, we are actively house hunting and could have potentially found a house we love, my son is doing awesome and my sweet little baby is due in March… 2013 is really looking to be an exciting year and I am extremely blessed!

Today’s challenge is all about PARTYING because Lawnscaping is two years old! Can you believe it? Just two years ago, we launched our first challenge and it’s been such a fun ride ever since. Some of you have even played along with us in every challenge and we couldn’t be more grateful! Speaking of grateful, I am so grateful to our sponsor for this challenge, the amazing Simon Says Stamp. You know how I love Simon! They are fantastic peeps and offer great affordable items…. AND, their customer service is top notch! It’s a win/win!!!!

Simon Says Stamp

Here is what I created for this challenge, inspired by something I saw by sweet Janna, using those adorable paper straws from Simon Says Stamp I mentioned in my latest haul video.

DSC_0002wtmk

The background is this awesome stamp by Impression Obsession stamped with the amazing Hero Arts shadow Ink (I used Butter bar on some yellow PTI cardstock)… I cut the straws out, flattened them and adhered them on a panel. I inked up another strip of cardstock in soft purple shadow ink and adhered it all together to create the center panel of the card.

DSC_0007wtmk

The Griffin was colored with Inktense watercolor pencils (LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE them, check out this video).

I hope you will head on over to the Lawnscaping blog and play along in our challenge! And you just MUST check out what the rest of the design team has made!

Lawnscaping Challenge: Make it Shine sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Hi there!! Happy Monday to you all. Today is the first day of Christmas break or my son. I plan to sleep in but I know that will never happen since I haven’t slept past 5AM in ages!! Today’s challenge is a fun one! MAKE IT SHINE!!!!! I used some glossy accents, some bling and stickles to incorporate shine into my challenge! But there are many things you can do. Glitter, embossing, sparkly ribbon, etc…… We are sponsored by the fabulous Lawn Fawn!!! The lucky winner will receive a stamp set of their choice! :) Here is what I created for this challenge:

DSC_0001wtmk

I love the colors of the patterned paper. I colored the images with the INKTENSE watercolor pencils, which are just so much fun to use. I made a video HERE…… I lightened the color by adding water to card stock first and then using lots and lots and lots of water to blend.  Here is a close up of the SHINE!

DSC_0006wtmk

Picket fence stickles on the muffin look sooooooo yummy!!! I’m hungry now…. :)

Be sure to head on over the Lawnscaping blog and check out what the rest of the design team made! And our Guest Designer’s project is sooo cute! Cutest tag ever I’d say!
