I may, just MAY, be done with making my Christmas cards… YIPPEE! I addressed a bunch of envelopes today and in a while, I am going to do a count to see if I have enough cards to go inside! I am receiving the photo disk from our professional photo shoot tomorrow so I can choose the picture that is going to go inside all the cards. After I stamp the sentiments in the inside and sign our names, they will be all set to go! I decided to do my (hopefully) last card using the Taylored Inspiration Sketch challenge! Instead of using different DP, I used the same cute Santa DP and just separated it with a piece of twine…. Love incorporating buttons into my cards. I stumbled across this blog recently! It is hilarious! It is a challenges blog that incorporates every day things into your project. I think the last one was incorporating toilet paper! It was so great to see what all the people came up with. It was too late for me to participate in that challenge so I chose to participate in this week’s, which is a sketch challenge. Still working on my mass supply of Christmas cards so no surprise this is a Christmas card. I just love my little gingerbread man and buttons and my new best friend, my scor bug! Today, I made a card inspired by the SPCC Color Challenge and Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. I love challenge blogs. They really help me gain insight and inspiration with my projects. I am still such a newbie, I need all the help I can get. I wish I had a crafting network here locally because I would love to get together and craft with other people. I know I would learn so much. I used some cute DP, edge distresser, buttons and my fun little scor-bug to create this card. Hope you like it….

Now, don’t act surprised! I told you I was going to make another card for the JUGS Challenge!! I absolutely did not care for my first one… I used the SPCC color challenge for my color inspiration. I inked up my embossing folder for a different affect. I heat embossed the umbrella…. And look at my cute son! He so wanted to have his picture taken with the card and his Captain America, so how could I resist…. I am just thrilled he is feeling better!!  I have another card I did for the SPCC color challenge so don’t forget to check out my next entry!

Wow! 3 posts in one day! I guess that is what happens when you have a sick little boy at home.. Craft away while he naps. We have been homebound since Friday and I am shocked to say that I am not climbing the walls yet. Usually, I get stir crazy! I hope we are n the road to recovery, although just this afternoon he spiked another temperature of 103. Poor guy! I just feel so bad for him, but he has sure been in good spirits considering…

I was happy to set aside my Christmas card project and do a birthday card today. Leave it JUGS to save my sanity just at the time it needed saving! This week their challenge to was dry emboss a birthday card! I whipped out my Cuttlebug and the numbers embossing folder, which I finally got the chance to use for the first time.. I used PTI’s Cupcake Collections stamp set and Birthday Basics for the sentiment. I struggled with adding more to it. I tied a bow and thought it was too much. I added some buttons and thought it was too much. But then I thought not adding anything was not enough. But, I opted for not adding anything else. Didn’t want to take away from the embossed background. I also heat embossed the cupcakes for an added touch…   I am not crazy about this card to be honest with you! I definitely see some flaws, but that goes back to my Kindergarden teacher for not teaching me to cut on the lines better, ha ha ha!!! But, here is my card  nonetheless. Don’t be surprised if I a do another one to redeem myself! LOL!!!!

Ok, never thought I would say this, but I am tired of making Christmas cards! I still have about 15 left to make and I am trying to make each one different, yet simple, and this is creating quite the challenge! I participated in the Mercy Sketch Challenge. I love my PTI Christmas stamps, but am looking forward to using some other stamp sets soon…. I used my scor-bug on this to try to add a little something extra to the card. I love that little thing! So fun……

On another note, my poor little man is still sick. As I type, he is laying next to me, asleep, with a 101 fever.  My poor sweet little boy. I feel so bad for him… I hope he starts feeling better…..

This card was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch #44. A little dry embossing, some cute DP from PTI, glitter and Martha’s snowflake punch helped create this card. Trying to make all my Christmas card different, yet simple and quick. I love the little snowman. So cute…. Hope you like it.

This week, I participated in the CardPatterns Sketch Challenge. And another Christmas card, what a surprise! HA. I just counted how many I have done so far. 12! What? Only 12? Seems like more. I am trying to do each one different so that is probably why it is taking so long….. Not sure how much longer I can keep that up! I love the sketch challenge. I am not one for angling my decorative paper so this was a stretch for me. I had some cute Merry Christmas DP that I thought would be perfect for this card. I love that little Gingerbread. I just picked up some Liquid Applique and had such fun stamping and making a sheet full of these gingerbread men. Made me hungry, though! Used the snowflakes cuttlebug embossing folder and did something a little different with my ribbon. Not sure if I like it though. Do you?!? (Click each picture to enlarge)….

On a side note, my poor little guy is sick. High fever two nights in a row so we are doctor bound today I hope…. I hate seeing my son sick. Wish I could just it away from him. Funny how when you become a parent, you become completely selfless when it comes to your child…

So, for this challenge, I fumbled big time. I made one card, didn’t like it so made another and didn’t like that one either!! Has that ever happened to you? My mojo is just tapped I guess…. But, I do love my stamp set, can’t you tell? Made 3 cards today all using the same set!!!!  My next post will be showing you all of the Tucked Away templates I made…. I know you all were loosing sleep over it I am sure! Have a great day!

Last night, I finished up all 12 Tucked Away templates for my mom. I snapped a picture of all of them and will share them in another post later today. I would appreciate any feedback. I was struggling how to make each one different. I kept running out of ideas for the front flap… Grr… Today, I participated in the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. I made a total of 3 cards today and I don’t like any of them, but I am sharing them nonetheless! Only because I love that little Santa Claus! So cute! Loving my new PTI Holiday Button Bits Stamp Set!!! First the gingerbread man, now Santa! I forsee some snowman, presents and more gingerbread men in the near future! Finally got a hold of the snowflakes Cuttlebug emobssing folder I have been looking for. I kept it clean and simple. Hope you like it.
