Happy Saturday everyone. Here in the USA, its a holiday weekend! Happy Memorial Day! A special shout out to my husband who is a Pilot in the Navy! I am so very proud of him and privileged to be his wife and have his as the father of my son……..
We’ve got another fun challenge in store for you over at Wee Memories! So inspiring. All you have to do is create something inspired by Etsy or Pinterest. I Pinterest all the time. As a matter of fact, the Iphone now has a Pinterest app so I can pinterest on the go! YEA YEA! Pinterest is invite only so if you need an invite, email me and I’ll invite you! Etsy is another amazing site. I have bought so many amazing things off of Etsy! My recent love, MoldMuse, is an etsy shop! And I just bought these cute coasters from Etsy a few weeks ago. So the problem you might find with this challenge is just being inspired toooo much!!
I was inspired by this photo on Pinterest and that made me think about this fun project I saw over at The Twinery and just had to try it.
And here is what I created.. Now I know I didn’t wander too far off the block with this one. They were just too cute to not recreate. I hope you aren’t disappointed…..
I painted the wooden spools with various Jenni Bowlin Paint Dabbers. I applied a thick coat of Glossy Accents, wrapped the twine (From The Twinery – the best I have found. The twine is thick and the colors are luscious). And then just adhered a tiny magnet to the back!
Be sure to head on over to the Wee Memories blog to check out the deets on this challenge! And a big thanks to May Arts for sponsoring….

Happy Saturday everyone!!! It’s Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday challenge time!!!!! We’ve got a fun theme for you this week. Color Inspiration Blog Hop Style! You can take inspiration from any colors shown in the inspiration badge below. Sound fun???? You should have come to be my way of the ever fabulous Giovanna. Isn’t she amazing?!? Here is the card I created this week attempting to use each color family shown in the inspiration photo!
I used Lawn Fawn’s Say Cheese and Say Cheese too and paired it with one of my new all time favorite background stamps, Hero Art’s envelope pattern stamp! I used lots of Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Jenni Bowlin inks. I also painted around the camera with a Tim Holtz/Perfect Pearls mixture so it really sparkles in person.
Our sponsor this week is Nikki Sivils. She has some AMAZING products. I was particularly drawn towards her paper. My paper didn’t arrive in time for this post, but rest assured I will be using it as soon as it gets here!!!
Next on the hop is the super talented and sweet Laurel Seabrook. I am particularly fond of her name! Her parents have good taste!!! Head on over there and see what fabulous creation she has in store for you!
And be sure to head back to the Wee Memories and get all the deets on the challenge! You have until next Friday to play along!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Tuesday everyone! We had a fun day today. My husband has a night flight today which means he was home during the day today. After picking Lucas up from school, we took him to Adventure Landing where we played Laser Tag and rode around in go karts. He had a blast and it was nice just being a kid again!
I was inspired by this card. As soon as I saw it, I knew instantly I wanted to make something like it… Now Heidi’s is way better than mine, so don’t go judging me here, lol!!! The “dog house” (pretty swanky dog house, don’t ya think?) was made with my Cosmo Cricket patterned paper (togetherness) and the hill was hand drawn and colored wtih Copics. Then adorable lanterns are from Lawn Fawn’s latest release, Lunar Lights. The adorable dog is from Critter’s in the Burbs and is colored with a combination of Copics and Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
I love playing along in challenges. Don’t you? They just inspire me in so many ways…. For this card, I am playing along in a few this time (gasp, I usually stick to one):

Wee Memories – Live/Laugh/Love
Speaking of challenges, you have ONE DAY left to play along in the Lawnscaping challenge – ALL ABOUT LOVE! Need some incentive to play? How about a free Lawn Fawn set of your choice! That’s the prize up for grabs!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! I, for one, could care less! I am not a football fan. My husband went off to a Superbowl party. After taking care of me this past week, he deserves a fun night out…. I made this card inspired by one of the past Clean and Simple Blog sketches! I love their blog! Defining my style as clean and simple, and even a bit quirky, I find much inspiration in their work. I used a lot of scraps found on my desk for this card, as challenged by the Wee Memories challenge this week. I also used the colors from Heather’s new color challenge, Totally Hues.
