It has been almost 3 weeks since I made anything crafty! We had so much fun on our trip, but it is not easy getting back to reality. The last few days have been consumed with laundry, cleaning and trying to get back to EST. The jet lag was killer!!! I think we are finally on the road to recovery today. We missed out on an afternoon party just so we could just SIT.
I made this card using my new Lawn Fawn (surprise, surprise, I know. I am a Lawn Fawnaholic) stamps I had waiting for me when I got home… I religiously watched Jennifer McGuire’s Holiday Thinking Inking course while I was gone on my Iphone and wanted to try some of her techniques as well as participate in the Wee Memories challenge. A cute holiday card, how could I resist.
I heat embossed the snowflakes from Frosties in clear embossing powder and used Tim Holtz Distress Inks over the top. I love the look. I crumpled up some of my son’s construction paper to create a snow hill and put a strip of glitter across the top. Winter Bunny is super cute and I had a fun time coloring it and adding glossy accents to the scarf…. I decided to put the sentiment in a comic strip and sprayed that with glimmer mist. This card sure does sparkle and shine. I hope you like it…. Can’t wait to try
I’ll be back with a part 2 blog entry of our trip, the most amazing part. HAWAII! ALOHA!!!!
