Paper Pieced Hot Air Balloons

Bon Voyage! I so want to go on a trip to somewhere. We went to Hawaii four months ago and I am so spoiled now!! It was a wonderfully amazing tip that seems like a lifetime ago, not just a few months ago!

I wanted to make something bright colored! I love paper piecing the balloons from Practicing Creativity’s Look Up set. They are so fun to stamp…. I decided to make the balloon 3-dimensional. The clouds are felt and I stamped a few of the birds from the set directly onto the clouds.

I played along in the Paper Piecing Challenge in the Moxie Fab world again with this card.

Summer break is quickly approaching. I am not excited about it because that means Lucas just about to start Kindergarden. GULP! So I need to make this sumemr a summer to remember. I want to travel, preferably go to New York City! I think Disney World is in our future for March… What about you? Do you guys have any trips planned?

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Great card, Laurel! We are planning on going to Chicago, New York and (hopefully) Florida this summer! I’ll only be in each place for a few days, but it’s fun to take mini vacations now and then! The summer of 2012 though I’m going on a Mediterranean cruise with my best girlfriends!!! Good luck choosing a vacation destination soon! =)

  2. Girl, How do you find the time to do so much creative work! You are an inspiration. New York sounds great, not sure what we are doing yet but hopefully lots of days at the beach!

  3. I just love your card. The 3-D hot air balloon is awesome. My hubby does most of the travelling here, but I will be joining him in Portland, Oregon in June.

  4. Hey Laurel! Thanks for entering the Paper Piecing Challenge in the Moxie Fab World! I’m so glad you joined in on all the stampy fun! đŸ™‚
