Hello – Watercoloring with Hero Arts Plus a pinwheel video

Hello! Happy Friday everyone! Weekend is just about here….. This card uses all Hero Arts stamps and the water coloring technique with distress inks! You all know me. I LOVE distress inks….. I heat embossed the gorgeous stamp given to me by my sweet friend Chari Moss and watercolored it. The graph background (also stamped with distress ink/water mixture) was a little too bright from me, so I decided to make it a white wash by using Picket Fence distress stains.

The supply list for this card is below, but before I go, I wanted to tell you that I have a video up on the Simon Says Stamp blog! The sweet Heidi emailed me and asked if I could make a short video showing how to make paper pinwheels, so I jumped at the opportunity. Thanks Heidi and Simon Says Stamp! I heart you all….

  1. GREAT video! Very easy to follow! I think I’ll be a glue dot person too… We are going to a 3 yr old girl’s bday party Sunday…. May try this for her card since I won’t have to mail it. (;

  3. Great post, Laurel! The pinwheel video takes the mystery out of these pretty little embellishments. I’m with you, the glue dot method is the way to go. blessings~

  4. Love that card and it’s distressing. Came out so good. Your video about pinwheels took the mystery out of it for me. They don’t look as hard as I thought they’d be. Have a wonderful weekend.
