Yup, did you know? Reverse Confetti hosts a color challenge every month to kick start your color inspiration!!!! I’m here today to share with you the card I made inspired by the challenge. Here’s a look.
Lots of technique here… I used the Triangles die cut and used it as a stencil. I put a whole bunch of crackle embossing paste over the top of the stencil/die cut until the entire panel was covered (moved the stencil around) and allowed to dry! I LOVE THAT CRACKLE look. I think it is the coolest thing ever!!! I went over the top of the panel with Tim Holtz distress inks which really made the crackled stencil pop more!!!! And then, I flicked some water over the top to create those water splatters. This can only work with distress inks because distress inks are formulated to react with water….. See the waves along the top? It’s from this die! LOVE IT! It could be water waves, hilltops.. Very versatile. The distress inks color I am working with today are perfect for the color challenge…. Pumice Stone, Picked Raspberry and Scattered Straw… To finsih off the card, I used the Give Thanks Dies and stamped the sentiment from this stamp set and adhered with foam dimension, after putting a little yellow/gold floss behind the back….
Thanks so much for popping by today!!!
Hi there! Today’ I’m up on the Reverse Confetti blog with a fun video showcasing some Stencil Die Cutting using some Reverse Confetti products!!!!! The colors I am working with are inspired by the September color challenge.
Hello Hello! And welcome to another Lawnscaping Challenge. How about a fun Summer color combo? Here in Florida, it is in the 90’s every single day! So I love this refreshing color combo…. So much so I made TWO projects. Let’s have a lookie:
For my first card, I had to make some pink lemonade. Nothing says summer like pink lemonade, right??? So of course, I had to use THIS SET and paired it with watercolors from this set (available in different quantities, see supply list below)…. I imagined rays of color bursting from the lemonade… And of course, I had to add some glossy accents to the pitcher and wink of stella glitter on the lemons.. Of course…
For my second card, I wanted to use this set…. Hello.. Summer. Ice cream. Popsicles… Can’t beat it. I heat embossed the image and sentiment in white and then used the same watercolors as the above card to color in the images and create the wash of colors. I inked up this set with peacock feathers distress ink (my all time favorite color) to create a panel…. And then for a finishing touch, I stamped the image from this set with Hero Arts Butter Bar shadow ink.
Oh, as a finishing touch, I did some edge distressing… If you don’t have a tool, grab a steak knife! It works like a charm! I think this card is my favorite of the two.

Hello and welcome to the last Pinspired Challenge. You maybe have seen on our last post that we will be closing the challenge. It has been a wonderful year full of inspiration and it has been a pleasure working along side these talented girls but we as a team decided to close the challenge…… Thanks to all of you who have participated and to all of our fabulous sponsors! We had 24 amazing challenges and were inspired by all of you.
Today’s challenge is sponsored by Fresh Squeezed Stamps. Super cute stamps. Head on over to the Pinspired blog to see what the prize is. I was inspired by all the colors and the crisp white on all the cookies (challenge badge at the end of the post) so I decided to do some heat embossing in white.
I love the crisp white snowflake background against all the color! I added some glitter paper for the ground to add some extra sparkle. I used lots of different stamps on this one card so the supply list is below. Here is a close up:
The sentiment didn’t emboss as crisp as I’d like, but that’s ok. It’s a homemade card and sometimes these touches indicate that! I could have redone the banner but I decided, eeehh.. It adds character.
Thank you so much for being a part of the Pinspired family! May you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year…..
Hi there everyone! Blogland has been so quiet lately! Everyone is busy traveling or baking or last minute Christmas shopping… Me? I’m doing laundry! HA HA! I thought I’d show a sneak of what is in store tomorrow on the blog. The last Pinspired Challenge will go live tomorrow and we have a wonderful inspiration board to share with you all. Until then…
