HOPPERS:

I’ve got a few projects to share with you today! I’ve gone nuts with this release! I locked myself in my craft room and just couldn’t stop. I’ve made 15 projects so far, lol! But today, I’ll do you and favor and just share a few 🙂 I’m supposed to share three, but I hope you don’t mind… I share six. I know, I’m a rule breaker! Don’t hate me!

  • First up, the  TREAT YO SELF die! HAHAHAHA! Isn’t that a hoot? LOVE IT! I cut 1/4″ strips of card stock and adhered them to the card base at an angle and ran the  TREAT YOU SELF die thru my die cutting machine…… Then I heat embossed it with some Hero Arts sparkle embossing powder and inlayed it into the negative spaced, popped up with some double sided dimensional tape. This die is seriously one of my favorites. Love it!

  • Next up we have Christmas Scribbles. I stamped all the images with distress ink, spritzed the block with water and stamped!  Touched a damp paint brush to touch all of the presents and tree for a little more of a watercolor look. The sentiment and font is fantastic!

  • This card is all dies.. Meet Home and Hearth, a set of 13 die cuts that compliment the Cozy Christmas stamp set… I ran the dies thru various sheets of Glitter paper and paired it with some fun distress ink techniques.

  • Next up is Merry & Bright Handwritten, which is a set of 7 dies perfect for the holiday season. This die set also coordinates with the Merry & Bright stamp set…. I wanted to create an unconventional Christmas card so I die cut the sentiment dies with red cardstock, added that same Hero Arts sparkle embossing powder over the top and layered it over a panel I created using Bokeh Dots, a fabulous stamp set let me just tell you.

  • Speaking of Merry & Bright, here’s a card I created using the cute little holly leaf and sentiment from the set! This set is filled with so many fun images and sentiments, you can go nuts with it.

  • And lastly,  meet Twelve Days… Makes you want to break out in song, doesn’t it, lol!!! I couldn’t decide which image(s) to use, so I used them all!  I stamped the images, colored them with Copics (added some glossy accents here, wink of stella there) and framed it. Instant Christmas decoration….

It’s a big month over at Mama Elephant! They are turning 2 years old! Lots of celebrating will go on this month so be sure to follow them if you don’t already! Today it’s all about the Mama Elephant and Me October Challenge. Wow! October! Since there is so much partying going on over there this month, we decided ANYTHING GOES would be the perfect theme! So bring it! I got inky for this challenge and have to say I love the results….. Isn’t that city scape gorgeous? Hello Central Park…. I so want to go back to NYC! Badly.. I like to visit, not live there because I’m too lazy to walk everywhere, but I sure love visiting……. The background was inked up with distress inks and then I went over the stencil with water. Just plain ole’ H2O.

The die was cut several times…… Inked up with the same distress inks and then I put a coating of glossy accents over the top. Look at the cityscape against the background. How cool is that. Is this something you would like to see a video tutorial on? Let me know in the comments…

Alright folks. Here today with the easiest goody bag ever! Why? Because Lawn Fawn makes it so easy with THIS die and this paper pad… Minimal supplies and you can create a load of goody bags great for your kids classes, teacher gifts, neighbor gifts, whatever!!!!! I simply ran the die thru the patterned paper from this paper pad, used one of my punches to create the focal panel on the front, used some flair from the  kit, assembled together and done! See? SOOOOO EASY! The paper is pad. It also comes in 6×6 and the flair can be purchased separately!

Wreath of Hope: Breast Cancer Awareness

FOR MY REVERSE CONFETTI COLOR CHALLENGE POST, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN OR CLICK HERE:

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this stamp/die combo from A Jillian Vance Design is perfect… I have been very fortunate to not know anyone personally who has dealt with breast cancer thank the good Lord. BUT, with that being said, women! I think it is important you check yourself monthly! And get those mammograms… Ok, enough lecturing…. I stamped the wreath with some distress ink, spritzed the stamp with water a few times and stamped! Then I die cut out the wreath. I popped it up with some foam dimension and then stamped the breast cancer ribbon in the center…

Subtle watercoloring, but I love the look. Thanks so much for popping by today!!!!

Reverse Confetti – September Color Challenge

Yup, did you know? Reverse Confetti hosts a color challenge every month to kick start your color inspiration!!!! I’m here today to share with you the card I made inspired by the challenge. Here’s a look.

DSC_0001

Lots of technique here…  I used the Triangles die cut and used it as a stencil. I put a whole bunch of crackle embossing paste over the top of the stencil/die cut until the entire panel was covered (moved the stencil around) and allowed to dry! I LOVE THAT CRACKLE look. I  think it is the coolest thing ever!!! I went over the top of the panel with Tim Holtz distress inks which really made the crackled stencil pop more!!!! And then, I flicked some water over the top to create those water splatters. This can only work with distress inks because distress inks are formulated to react with water….. See the waves along the top? It’s from this die! LOVE IT! It could be water waves, hilltops.. Very versatile. The distress inks color I am working with today are perfect for the color challenge…. Pumice Stone, Picked Raspberry and Scattered Straw… To finsih off the card, I used the Give Thanks Dies and stamped the sentiment from this stamp set and adhered with foam dimension, after putting a little yellow/gold floss behind the back….
