Hi there everyone! Today I’ve got TWO cards to share with you today. They use this the same stamp set by Crafters Companion, but each card features different techniques. Rather than type a novel explaining the two, I thought I’d share a video instead. First, let’s take a look at both of the cards.
I LOVE the Oak Tree. It’s fantastic! Crafters Companion carries an entire line of amazing stamps like this that is great for watercoloring. The first card features stamping with the Design Memory Craft Faber Castell Gel Medium. I was inspired by a video I saw by Jill Foster.
The words on both cards are from this die cut set by Mama Elephant! I inked them up with some versamark and heat embossed with this embossing powder, WOW!
For my second card, I used distress markers and this GORGEOUS buttery yellow embossing powder
I created a border on the card base using the same embossing powder. This baby sparkles!
But that’s enough talk! Let’s get on to the video. You can watch it here or over on my youtube channel in HD!

Hi there everyone! I have been following Iron Craft for some time now. I love her interviews and challenge so I decided to jump right in and play along! In summary, you have 5 Inspiration photos based on on her most 5 recent interviews… You can use all of them, one of them or a combination of them… I chose to work with Challenge Inspiration #3, Muses for Iwona. Debby Hughes was a popular muse for many, so this is the challenge inspiration photo I took inspo from:
How gorgeous is that!! Here is my take, keeping the layout the same.
I used a couple of Mama Elephant stamps here to create this card and used Distress Markers for the watercoloring. All supplies are linked below to multiple sources for you.
I plan on participating again in this Iron Craft challenge because all 5 of the inspiration photos are just, well, inspiring, lol!

Alright folks! It doesn’t get much easier than this! One stamp, some distress markers, card stock, dimensional tape and done! 🙂 This might be the shortest post from me, like ever! Supplies listed below from numerous sources….
I had so much fun watercoloring some of the images from the Sakura stamp set by Sheena. I love this set… It has a gorgeous Cherry Blossom tree in the set, but I chose to use the smaller blooms here and do some watercoloring with Tim Holtz distress inks. (picked raspberry and vintage photo).
I’ve got some videos in the works for this week. Anything in particular you want to see???? Have an awesome day and thanks so much for stopping in today. Hope you had a lovely weekend!
I can not begin to tell you how much I love this elm tree by Crafters Companion! I love it. I kind of turned it into a Cherry Blossom tree of sorts by putting down different colors of Distress Markers….. 🙂 How I did this was simple. I colored the image with distress markers, squirted it with water and stamped. Voila! I left the card intentionally sentiment free…. I can stamp something on the inside when I am ready to give it to someone. The Art Kure line at Crafters is WONDERFUL and great for those watercolor artists, no matter what level you are at. Beginner-Advanced…
Today I have my very first DEMO at my local scrapbooking store using some Faber Castell Gelatos. My first ever class will be at the end of July. Ack. Nervous.
Howdy ho folks! Today’s challenge is right up my ally because you know I love distress inks. But this challenge just isn’t about distress products. Take a knife and distress the edge of your projects, grab some ink and “age” your paper….. See? Fun!!! Now today’s card is a little “busy” I’d say so I hope you don’t get dizzy! A big huge thanks to Lawn Fawn for sponsoring this challenge! I heart them so…
I couldn’t help but use the little sushi guys colored with distress markers… And the background? I created a mask with the various circles from the Circle Stackables die set and used the negative space… Then I applied a ton of distress colors inside the mask, blended and did some water flicking…..
The cute little sushi people and tray were watercolored with distress markers! The LOL? That’s cut with the Silhouette. Yes, this card is busy but yet, I love it! 🙂
I hope you stop over and visit my fellow designers and see what they created. Head on over to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog, check it out and play along! Oh, and Lawn Fawn is in the middle of their release week. All the new stuff will be available for purchase on the 22nd!
