Today is the last day of my mini watercoloring for beginning series! I started off with this post that showcased 6 different cards I created using different watercoloring mediums (inktense watercolor pencils, Distress Ink refills, Distress ink pads, Koi watercolor by sakura, faber castell gelatos)… Today’s card uses distress ink pads! 🙂 Here is a close up (all supplies linked at the very end of this post):
You can watch the video for this card right here on the blog or over on my youtube channel in HD!

Goodies from today’s card:
Good morning. Today I’m back with my 4th video featuring watercoloring mediums…. Today’s cards feature the Design Memory Craft Faber Castell Gelatos….
This card is brighter than the other because I blended the gelatos with water and paint brushes…. The sentiment was heat set with this glitter embossing powder for just an added touch of shine.
This next card features the same exact colors and I blended them gently with a damp wet wipe and my finger:
The sentiment was heat embossed in clear.
You can watch the video here or over at my youtube channel in HD!
I’ve seen Jennifer McGuire do it countless times, but for some reason I was afraid. First of all, I like NEVER use an iron. Wrinkled clothes? I pop them in the dryer on the dewrinkle setting, lol! But after trying my hand at a shaker tag for the first time, I though let’s give this technique a whirl too. It was sooooo easy, just like she said!
To start, I heat embossed this background stamp (which is amazing by the way) in clear… And then I applied two shades of pink gelatos and blended with a baby wipe… Then using my iron (I have since bought a cheap iron off of Amazon for $9 just in case hell does freeze over and I need to use an iron on my clothes) with a towel on the floor then card panel and then typing paper over the top of the panel, I ironed off the embossing powder. I thought pairing it with Simon’s Mint line would look pretty so I stamped the fun sentiment in Mint and then used the coordinating Mint Card stock to tie it all together…
Pretty simple and definitely easy to mass produce if you wanted to. Thanks for stopping by today!
Howdy!!!! Welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! We are here today getting all krafty on you!!! PUN INTENDED! HE HE! That’s the challenge.. Incorporate kraft into your projects!!! 🙂 The Design Team is using Memory Products this week but you don’t have to use them to play along………. Here’s my take on the challenge:
Most of the world is covered in snow. Not here in Florida. Some times it’s 50, while other days it’s 80, hence the bright, vibrant card! See that adorable bird? That’s this die from Memory Box. The amazing sunburst stencil and bird were both colored with Design Memory Craft Faber Castell Gelatos….. Do you like the hill top? Got to love this die, makes it so easy! The bird has a TON of coats of the Wink of Stella Clear glitter pen on it…..
I did use some Soft Sand Shadow Ink on the design for the card base… Hey, that could pass for Kraft too, right?
The amazing peeps over at Simon Says Stamp have an amazing prize to win! A $50 gift certificate to their online store! Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog and check out the rest of the AMAZING creations by the design team. They are so funny and sure to make you laugh!
Hi there everyone. I blogged this card last week and had a lot of questions about the background so I thought I’d make a quick video showing you how I did it. Super simple. You just need some distress ink (because they are formulated to react to water), stamps and water!!! 🙂 Here is the video and you can also check it out on my youtube channel!
And a close up of that background!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll be back tomorrow with my card for the Simon Says Stamp challenge! )
Hello and welcome to the last Pinspired Challenge. You maybe have seen on our last post that we will be closing the challenge. It has been a wonderful year full of inspiration and it has been a pleasure working along side these talented girls but we as a team decided to close the challenge…… Thanks to all of you who have participated and to all of our fabulous sponsors! We had 24 amazing challenges and were inspired by all of you.
Today’s challenge is sponsored by Fresh Squeezed Stamps. Super cute stamps. Head on over to the Pinspired blog to see what the prize is. I was inspired by all the colors and the crisp white on all the cookies (challenge badge at the end of the post) so I decided to do some heat embossing in white.
I love the crisp white snowflake background against all the color! I added some glitter paper for the ground to add some extra sparkle. I used lots of different stamps on this one card so the supply list is below. Here is a close up:
The sentiment didn’t emboss as crisp as I’d like, but that’s ok. It’s a homemade card and sometimes these touches indicate that! I could have redone the banner but I decided, eeehh.. It adds character.
Thank you so much for being a part of the Pinspired family! May you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year…..
Hi there everyone! Blogland has been so quiet lately! Everyone is busy traveling or baking or last minute Christmas shopping… Me? I’m doing laundry! HA HA! I thought I’d show a sneak of what is in store tomorrow on the blog. The last Pinspired Challenge will go live tomorrow and we have a wonderful inspiration board to share with you all. Until then…
