Countdown to Confetti: Roundabout and Roundabout Additions

Hi there! Today is the first day of sneaks for the upcoming MINI Reverse Confetti release that will be available tomorrow for purchase! It has two sets and two dies!  For personal reasons, I wasn’t able to create much for this release but I was able to play with the  stamp sets. I looked at the sets and just adored the big circle images with the sentiments engraved into the stamp. The stamp perfectly and smoothly.  I wanted to take the smaller circle dots from the set and create a bokeh look! So I watercolored the background with my Gansai watercolors and then took some white ink and the circle stamps and stamped over the top. Some I did double stamping, some I didn’t…. Then I layered the Birthday Wishes sentiment over the top and create two “tails” with the dashed lines stamps from both sets. So what do you think?

Be sure to check out the Reverse Confetti blog to links to the other designer’s projects…. Here’s a peek at the two sets releasing tomorrow.

My most favorite is my Harry Potter mug. Today is National Coffee day so a ton of us are getting together to hop along, and there are a billion prizes to be won provided by a ton of sponsors!!!! I have lots of coffee sets so I’ll have more coffee cards up later this week, but for today, I wanted to feature the Be A Barista set by Reverse Confetti and the Tagged Tote die to create this adorable treat bag… I filled it with some coffee grinds for the hubs.

Because there are a lot of hop participants, I am keeping this post short and sweet. Be sure to head on over to the coffee lovers bloghop home page to see all the entries along with all the prizes! There are sponsor prizes and flash prizes every 3 hours today! SO MUCH FUN!

Reverse Confetti – September Color Challenge

Yup, did you know? Reverse Confetti hosts a color challenge every month to kick start your color inspiration!!!! I’m here today to share with you the card I made inspired by the challenge. Here’s a look.

Lots of technique here…  I used the Triangles die cut and used it as a stencil. I put a whole bunch of crackle embossing paste over the top of the stencil/die cut until the entire panel was covered (moved the stencil around) and allowed to dry! I LOVE THAT CRACKLE look. I  think it is the coolest thing ever!!! I went over the top of the panel with Tim Holtz distress inks which really made the crackled stencil pop more!!!! And then, I flicked some water over the top to create those water splatters. This can only work with distress inks because distress inks are formulated to react with water….. See the waves along the top? It’s from this die! LOVE IT! It could be water waves, hilltops.. Very versatile. The distress inks color I am working with today are perfect for the color challenge…. Pumice Stone, Picked Raspberry and Scattered Straw… To finsih off the card, I used the Give Thanks Dies and stamped the sentiment from this stamp set and adhered with foam dimension, after putting a little yellow/gold floss behind the back….

See the note he is holding? It’s from this stamp and die from the latest release!!

Here is a look at the sketch! Now, get on over there and play along!
