Countdown to Confetti: Roundabout and Roundabout Additions

Hi there! Today is the first day of sneaks for the upcoming MINI Reverse Confetti release that will be available tomorrow for purchase! It has two sets and two dies!  For personal reasons, I wasn’t able to create much for this release but I was able to play with the  stamp sets. I looked at the sets and just adored the big circle images with the sentiments engraved into the stamp. The stamp perfectly and smoothly.  I wanted to take the smaller circle dots from the set and create a bokeh look! So I watercolored the background with my Gansai watercolors and then took some white ink and the circle stamps and stamped over the top. Some I did double stamping, some I didn’t…. Then I layered the Birthday Wishes sentiment over the top and create two “tails” with the dashed lines stamps from both sets. So what do you think?

Be sure to check out the Reverse Confetti blog to links to the other designer’s projects…. Here’s a peek at the two sets releasing tomorrow.

I’ve got a few projects to share with you today! I’ve gone nuts with this release! I locked myself in my craft room and just couldn’t stop. I’ve made 15 projects so far, lol! But today, I’ll do you and favor and just share a few 🙂 I’m supposed to share three, but I hope you don’t mind… I share six. I know, I’m a rule breaker! Don’t hate me!

  • First up, the  TREAT YO SELF die! HAHAHAHA! Isn’t that a hoot? LOVE IT! I cut 1/4″ strips of card stock and adhered them to the card base at an angle and ran the  TREAT YOU SELF die thru my die cutting machine…… Then I heat embossed it with some Hero Arts sparkle embossing powder and inlayed it into the negative spaced, popped up with some double sided dimensional tape. This die is seriously one of my favorites. Love it!

  • Next up we have Christmas Scribbles. I stamped all the images with distress ink, spritzed the block with water and stamped!  Touched a damp paint brush to touch all of the presents and tree for a little more of a watercolor look. The sentiment and font is fantastic!

  • This card is all dies.. Meet Home and Hearth, a set of 13 die cuts that compliment the Cozy Christmas stamp set… I ran the dies thru various sheets of Glitter paper and paired it with some fun distress ink techniques.

  • Next up is Merry & Bright Handwritten, which is a set of 7 dies perfect for the holiday season. This die set also coordinates with the Merry & Bright stamp set…. I wanted to create an unconventional Christmas card so I die cut the sentiment dies with red cardstock, added that same Hero Arts sparkle embossing powder over the top and layered it over a panel I created using Bokeh Dots, a fabulous stamp set let me just tell you.

  • Speaking of Merry & Bright, here’s a card I created using the cute little holly leaf and sentiment from the set! This set is filled with so many fun images and sentiments, you can go nuts with it.

  • And lastly,  meet Twelve Days… Makes you want to break out in song, doesn’t it, lol!!! I couldn’t decide which image(s) to use, so I used them all!  I stamped the images, colored them with Copics (added some glossy accents here, wink of stella there) and framed it. Instant Christmas decoration….

Before I get to the video, I have some giveaway fun for you! The new Twelve Days stamp set will go to one lucky winner!  Please leave a comment here on the blog by October 8th, winner will be announced October 9th!

And here is the video showcasing the entire release along with the super duper organized package I was telling you about! You can watch it right here or over on my youtube channel in HD.

It’s a big month over at Mama Elephant! They are turning 2 years old! Lots of celebrating will go on this month so be sure to follow them if you don’t already! Today it’s all about the Mama Elephant and Me October Challenge. Wow! October! Since there is so much partying going on over there this month, we decided ANYTHING GOES would be the perfect theme! So bring it! I got inky for this challenge and have to say I love the results….. Isn’t that city scape gorgeous? Hello Central Park…. I so want to go back to NYC! Badly.. I like to visit, not live there because I’m too lazy to walk everywhere, but I sure love visiting……. The background was inked up with distress inks and then I went over the stencil with water. Just plain ole’ H2O.

The die was cut several times…… Inked up with the same distress inks and then I put a coating of glossy accents over the top. Look at the cityscape against the background. How cool is that. Is this something you would like to see a video tutorial on? Let me know in the comments…

You have ALL MONTH to play along in the Mama Elephant and Me challenge so no excuses!!! Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog, see the rest of the design team projects and all the deets on how you can play along and what prize is up for grabs!

Watercoloring with Crafters Companion Art Kure line

I LOVE this stamp set by Crafters Companion! The entire Art Kure line is fantastic and perfect for watercoloring! I watercolored in this image with Tim Holtz Distress Inks after heat setting the black ink stamped image. After watercoloring the image and the wash of blue for the sky, I decided I had to add some snow and this Snowfall embossing folder was perfect! It is my all time favorite embossing folder from Crafters! I decided to go over the embossed snowflakes with some Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink for a finishing touch! I love watercoloring and this line of stamps and inks make it even easier!

Thanks for popping in today! See ya tomorrow! 🙂

Brrrrrr with AJVD

I am over on the AJVD (A Jillian Vance Design) blog today with a winter inspired theme. I was inspired by the stinkin’ Florida heat! WHEN will Fall arrive! I am ready for the weather to cool off!!! To see how I created this card, be sure to pop over there and check it out!

I also wanted to show you a project using this incredible TREAT TOTE die! This is one of TWO dies available! They are incredible and my absolute favorite treat dies of all time!!!! I paired the Treat Tote up with the witch from Cast a Spell! Super fun and easy to do and so easy to mass produce for say, your kids treat bags for their class?

I heat embossed the witch with some liquid platinum embossing powder and layer the TREATS die (that comes with the Treat Tote die set) over the top!
